    2026 Montcalm County Big Buck Night! Doors open 1 hour early at 4 PM to check bucks in. Brisket, Prime Rib, mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, and Beer are provided.     Free seed and trees will be given away to members as well as pickup for preordered trees, miscanthus, Fertilizer, and seed. Pre order closes on April 8th. We will be giving away pines, spruce, Corn, Beans, Brassicas, and potentionally others but we wont know unit we get closer to the date. First come first serve. While supplies last. If we have leftovers we may ask for a small donation per left over item but we may play that by ear on how the day goes.

    This is a one-day field day from 9 AM to 3 PM. Prior to the field day, the student will be required to complete the home study of the Hunters Safety handbook that will be mailed to them. The study questions at the end of the handbook should be filled out for each chapter before the class. This class is intended for anyone that needs hunter safety regardless if you are a adult or youth. There is no minimum age requirement and its at the discretion of the parent.
